Total Black vs Bon Ton: style war in Stockholm

Talking about fashion we could divide Swedish in two big categories: who wears only black, doesn't matter if outside it's summer and the sun sets down at midnight; and the ones who loves pastels tones, neutral, simple and classy. Underground vs bon ton, an epic battle that did not spare even the catwalks of the fashion week.
"Fashionisticamente" parlando potremmo dividere gli svedesi in due grandi categorie: chi si veste di nero sempre e comunque, non importa se fuori è estate e il sole tramonta a mezzanotte, e chi invece è un fervente sostenitore dei toni pastello, neutri, semplici e con cui non si sbaglia mai. Underground contro bon ton insomma, uno scontro tra titani che non ha risparmiato neanche le passerelle della Fashion Week.

On one side The Loca Firm and Cheap Monday with outfits made of mimetic hoods, combat boots and asymmetrical cuts (to be worn always with a killer glance, of course), on the other side the girly, measured style of Filippa K and Carin Wester.

The Local Firm is one of the cult brands for the lovers of the gothic-cool style and the fans of the brand will not be disappointed by the new AW collection. This season the brand proposes a collection inspired by the british artist Tracey Emin, and on the catwalk I could really breath the industrial and underground atmosphere of London. Strong pieces of the collection are mini bomber jackets (yes, they are back) and the metallic shirts.

The Local Firm è uno dei brand cult per gli amanti dello stile gothic-cool, e anche questa stagione non delude i suoi seguaci, presentando una collezione ispirata all'artista inglese Tracey Emin. E sulla passerella si respirava veramente un clima industriale da underground londinese. Pezzi forte della collezione i mini bomber (ebbene sì, sono tornati) e le camicie metalliche.

Cheap Monday focuses on denim in grey and powder shades, for its AW 2012 collection "Evolution". And the outfits really look like the ones that the founders of a new post industrial civilization would wear: long skirts cut in the middle, oversize trousers supported only by braces, turbans and mini top worn over t-shirt. A fierce styling, for the ones who wants to feel like Lara Croft.

Cheap Monday punta invece sul denim, declinato nei toni del grigio e del polvere, per la sua collezione AI 2012 "Evolution". E i look proposti sembrano proprio quelli che indosserebbero i fondatori  e le fondatrici di una nuova civiltà post industriale: gonne lunghe tagliate a metà, pantaloni oversize sostenuti soltanto da bretelle, turbanti e mini top sovrapposti a t-shirt. Uno styling grintoso, per chi vuole sentirsi un po' Lara Croft.

It's an exploration of minimalism and clean lines the new Filippa K collection. All the decorations are banned, no bags and no necklaces allowed, to focus the attention on the essence of the dresses. So long asymmetrical cashmere coats are combined with fluid silk trousers, high-waisted skirts and super chic silk dresses complete the collection.

È un'esplorazione del minimalismo e della purezza delle linee la nuova collezione di Filippa K. Tutti gli orpelli vengono eliminati, nemmeno una borsa o una collana in passerella, per concentrare tutta l'attenzione sull'essenzialità dei capi. Il cachemire dei lunghi cappotti asimmetrici si mixa così in modo perfetto con i pantaloni morbidi in seta che lasciano scoperta la caviglia, la vita si alza e le gambe si scoprono grazie a gonne e vestitini très chic in seta lavorata.

Carin Wester build her collection on impeccable pieces: Knee-long dresses, tailor made coats, cigarette pants and cashmere sweaters. The stylish ladies from Östermalm (the more chic district of Stockholm) will die for this collection.

Abitini al ginocchio, cappottini sartoriali, pantaloni a sigaretta e tocchi di cachemire; la collezione di Carin Wester è costruita intorno a cardini precisi e impeccabili. Le signore di Östermalm, il quartiere più chic di Stoccolma, non resteranno deluse.
