Unique, innovative, brilliant. Prada AW13

And than there is her, Miuccia..
E poi arriva lei, Miuccia..

I saw and saw again Prada show at lead 5 times since yesterday at 6, I was completely charmed, seduced, bewitched and I couldn't really understand why.
It was a love at first sight, overwhelming, one of those love that you can't really explain in a rational way. But why was I so in love? I didn't fell for the asymmetrical skirts with raw cuts, neither for the macro doctor bag in croco or for the vichy details. Nothing was perfect but everything was exactly where it was supposed to be and I couldn't really explained my feelings until I read the words that Miuccia Prada said during the press conference. "I wanted to create a collection able to interpret a raw, rude, harsh elegance. There is a rage inside it that I can't really explain. It's like if it was a reaction to the impossibility of being excessive. With the dresses, with the thoughts, with the declarations. This is a vague idea and it's really difficult to explain it. But then, when I look at all the outfits one after the other, I clearly understand its meaning".

Those words were a real revelation to me. After that the tank masculine shoes, the dresses made of thick wool, the knee length skirts, the daring combinations and the uncombed hair had suddenly a sense. Essential, raw, bare, disarming dresses where everyone can see what they want and that were for me an anti-hymn to the circus of fashion. An hymn to the intellectual freedom to open a show with sequins and go on with basics and intentionally excessive combinations. A show-manifesto where all the key-pieces of the last season were revisited with a incredible mastery. Unique, innovative, brilliant. Prada.

Unica, innovativa, geniale. Prada.
